The Storytime Station offers literacy-enhanced storytimes, classes, meet-ups and more. We believe that the best learning happens through play and we work to empower families to bring fun into everyday learning & literacy opportunities.

Baby & Me: Infant and Toddler Storytime Series with Play Time
(Ages 0-2)
This storytime class for infants, toddlers, & their caregivers aims to help solidify your & your child’s bond while introducing early literacy skills in a playful way. Get ready to participate in stories, songs, and lots of silliness during this 30 minute class. After stories, songs, and rhymes, we’ll have a few minutes to play together with some thoughtfully-selected toys. Throughout the session, you’ll glean tips & tricks on how to further develop your child’s skills and at the end, you’ll walk away with a packet of resources to jumpstart your literacy learning together at home.
Little Learners: Preschool Storytime Series with an Activity
(Ages 3-5)
The goal of this storytime class for preschoolers & their caregivers is to help your child develop and practice the early literacy skills they need for Kindergarten. During this 45 minute, high-energy class session, you and your preschooler will dance & wiggle, listen & learn, and hopefully play & giggle too. We’ll read stories, sing songs, and enjoy a fun activity to complement our lesson. All of our storytimes are packed with tips on how to help your child continue developing their literacy skills and this class is no exception. At the end, we’ll send you home with a packet of resources to continue learning and playing together at home.

Meet the Founder – Sarah Underwood
Sarah Underwood is a former children’s librarian-turned stay-at-home mom. She holds a Master of Science in Library and Information Science from the University of Kentucky and worked in libraries for five years. When her son was born in 2024, she knew she needed to take some time off to just be his mom…and his personal librarian…his mombrarian?
But with a passion for connecting families to fun, engaging literacy activities, Sarah couldn’t stay away from storytime for long. Thus, the Storytime Station was born! Sarah finds joy in getting kids excited about reading while offering useful, research-backed tips and tricks for parents to support their kids’ learning.
Sarah lives in the Louisville, Kentucky area with her husband, son, and two mischievous cats.
